LONDON, September 17, 2010

Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE: NOC) Europe-based air traffic management subsidiary, Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems, has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract by the African air navigation safety agency Agence pour la Securite de la Navigation Aerienne en Afrique et a Madagascar (ASECNA) for a continent-wide upgrade and renewal of their instrument landing systems.

Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems proposed their Normarc 7000B instrument landing system (ILS) in an international tender in which all players in the industry participated. The ILS will be installed and commissioned by French partner company GTIE Air & Defense of the Vinci Group on a turnkey basis. The systems will be installed and commissioned over a five-year period at 13 different airports and sites in Africa.

"We look forward to continuing our working relationship with ASECNA and to upgrading the instrument landing systems across Africa," said Eldar Hauge, managing director of Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems in Norway.
